East Antrim Old Vehicle Club

A friendly, welcoming and supportive group of enthusiasts

The East Antrim Old Vehicle Club was formed in 1992 and originally based in Carrickfergus as a non-sectarian, non-profit organisation.

Among the founding members were Eric Lynn, Dennis Higginson, John Magill, Geocge Dornan, Mick Dowey and Billy Peoples. Our first meetings were held in the home of Dennis Higginson before moving to the Courtaulds Club.

In the summer months, beginning April, different runs were organised taking in most areas of the province. A few years later The Fergus Inn was opened where the club was to find its first permanent home. The Fergus Inn, after a few name changes, became the Belfast Loughshore Hotel.

The EAOVC was responsible for organising their first Portrush Cavalcade in 2001 with, on occasions, more than 100 vehicles
taking part and well over 200 people attending the dinner at the end of the day.

This prestigious occasion has now become an annual event with over £100,000 raised for local charities since 2001. The Club moved to Corrs Corner Hotel in 2022.
